So I pulled a lot of dried corn from the stalks a few weeks ago (we never manage to harvest them when they are just right for eating). I wanted to try grinding them, so I put them in the Magic Bullet. I was pleased with how well it did. I use the MB for my dried peppers. The corn was not exceptionally fine but it was the consistency of corn meal that I buy. Now, I have to try some recipe with it. I'm tempted to keep grinding and see if I can get it as fine as polenta.

Has anyone else used their own corn this way? I'm trying to find new ways to use the crops we grow.

I have not used my own corn. But I purchased dry corn and grind it into cornmeal.
I have used it for corn dogs, cornbread, muffins.

Nothing tastes as good a fresh ground corn. Store bought can't compare. We have ground colored ornamental Indian corn, even pop corn. It is all delicious. Great idea about the Magic Bullet.

Greetings from the morning side of the hill.
