I always pray for our country. Marly

Absolutely, Teri. I pray for our wonderful country. The next few years will be challenging, I think.

Personally, I'm happy with the election results, especially with the 10 women voted into house and senate seats! That's incredible progress for this country! Several are Democrats, and several are Republican. Regardless of the party affiliation of these women, my Great Grandmother Theodocia, walked arm and arm with other women (your Grandmothers and Great Grandmothers, too!) in 1918 because she was fighting for (and affected) this this very change!!!!

I've seen nothing but whining and gloating all over the internet today. If you are going to be praying, please send them to the children with cancer and rare diseases, to the people who have lost everything in Sandy's wake and are now facing another big storm, to the hungry and homeless in this country and to things that need to be prayed for. sorry for my sharp opinions but politics will be politics, likely little will change for better or worse. Please keep a perspective and help those around you and those in need. Grow a garden, buy locally, do what you can to help the local economy, it didn't get busted over night and it's not going to improve over night. We are all Americans first and party affiliations after that. God helps those that help them selves.
