I have an overabundance of apples on my trees this year. Does anybody have any recipes for apple related foods or crafts? I already have apple butter, apple fritters, applesauce and apple dolls. I have also dried apples already and still I have apples. Help!?!?

The apple bread looks delicious. I've added it to my recipe file. Do you know if it will freeze ok? And can I leave out the walnuts? And your sheep are beautiful.
Anne, apple dolls are made by carving apples into heads with features and then letting them dry, so they look like old withered folks. It's an old folk tradition. My mother was a doll doctor and she used to make them. I've only had marginal success at them, but I keep trying.

Phyllis, I have frozen it, but not for long. It never last long enought here, hubby really LOVES it. And yes you can leave out the walnuts, I do when I make several loaves, as I do not like walnuts.

baked apples are a favorite fall desert at my house...leave apple whole except you remove core, set in glass baking dish, fill cored area with brown sugar, butter, rasins and a touch of cinniamon (sp?), cover with foil tightly, bake at 300 dgrees until apple is fork soft, serve warm with vannila ice cream or whip creme...
