Let see some picture of your food stash for the winter. Here is what I processed this year.

Now we are into hunting season, so there is deer to process. Lots in the freezer, I hope.

Y'all's pantries are so clean! I'll have to clean mine up a bit before I show mine. Artie, it all looks so good. And organized! How long does it stay that way? And Kristina, yours is pretty too.

Inspirational.... You all are simply inspirational! I hope I get to be as good at canning as you all! Those are the best looking pantries I've ever seen! I want mine to look just like them someday!!! AWESOME! Your families are very lucky and blessed to have you - and your talents - indeed! Hugs - Nini

I try really hard to keep it neat and oraganized. So it gets moved around as we use items. I am VERY OCD! And we have a smaller house. So I try to utilize all my spaces for function, but like everything to look pretty too.
I love seeing how others use there spaces and organize their pantries.

Thanks! My cupboard was built by my husband to store books in. I had to give books away to use it for stocking up. We have a very small farm house that was built in the 30's we think. It was a single woman at first, so there is very little storage - no basement, no attic, no cellar. The kitchen has absolutely no extra storage, so this came in handy. I had to take a cupboard in my utility room to store most of the remaining jars.
The cupboard is in my only living room, in a darker corner where the sun can't get to it. I have a pie safe in there too, but I need to clean it out next spring, paint it and see if I can make space in that too. I store all of my larger kitchen tools in it, like my mixer and such. I don't have room in my kitchen for those either.
One year I had to simply line jars on my counter top.

I keep my canned fruits and vegetables in my basement on metal shelving; not very pretty but it's functional. Best of all, the shelves are full!
Annette
ps Artie, your shelves look so attractive! Have you done displays before? |

Here is ours -- not fancy, just down there in the basement with the recyclables and fuel oil tank, but that's the only space we have -- we're about half done with the canning for the year -- tons of applesauce still to come and then the venison. . . (we make lots of soups, etc and can the venison as well)

Great pictures. I wish I had a basement to store things in. I do have a large attic on my garage that holds most things. But food items have to stay in the house.
My daughter told me that when I post my picture of canned goods, I need to explain that she was a HUGE help in getting it all done. She is my 14 year old 'future farmgirl'. She embraces everything about homemaking and animal care. She even loves country music.

okay.....I can, but really girls! This makes me feel so good that some of us really do can for the long run of winter. Wonderful and love it! Reminds me of grandmother's canning cellar!

My garden did not do well at all this year. I am very lucky my dad has a green thumb. And since it is just the 2 of them. He grows it....I can it. He also raised the beef and we process it. We work pretty well as a family unit.

not everything on mine is from my garden :) I do buy lots of veggies in season to can for the rest of the year -- I'm all about "convenience food" so if I can have something mostly made and sitting on my shelf it makes things a lot easier :)

I've done some canning, freezing and dehydrating this year, but I didn't take any pictures. My pantry isn't that organized either. Looks great, Ladies.
