Hi Farmgirls.

Anyone else out there like Burts Bees lip shimmers? I am trying to keep using only natural products and those without petroleum and chemicals if I can. I love lipstick and getting new colors, but since going chemical free it's been kind of limiting. I like the Lip Shimmer color "watermelon". Used it all summer. Saturday I bought "Plum". It's a new one. Kind of dark, but sheer, a pretty plum... almost a burgundy. It's pretty for fall. Sometimes in fall and winter I can look washed out. I also got an organic rose eye cream from a website called "Eco-Mom". It was just $8.00 and I had an $8.00 off coupon. I like it. Good for night, too sticky for daytime. Smells amazing. Anyone else tried anything new lately?

Oh, Nicole! My two favoritePs are Fig and Caramel... I wear the Fig ALL the time!!! To me, it's perfect for all seasons! Isn't it fun to change colors with the seasons, though? Maybe I'll try the plum for the holidays! Thank you for the recommendation! Hugs - Nini

Nini, I've never tried fig or caramel. I will have to check them out. I like rhubarb, too. In the summer I make a shimmery hot pink by toning it down with "guava". I love that they are only around $5.00...will check out that website, Dawn.

Hugs,
Nicole

I have been using the color Champagne this past summer and use Rhubarb and Fig in the Fall and Winter. The Plum is very pretty too. I buy these at Cracker Barrel because I work there. I love the lip balm too.

Burt's has always been a favorite of mine. But has anyone else had trouble lately with the lip balm in the original golden "chap stick" case making their lips drier? I know it sounds crazy and it is probably a change with me, rather than the product, but since everyone is talking about it, I thought I would ask... The change also coincided with Clorox buying Burt's ...

Marianne,
I've had that happen with a lot of products, but not so far with my BBees. I think one can develop an intolerance to something if "exposed" too much, including "natural" ingredients. It's happened to me with other natural lip balms, and lipsticks and lipliners that were conventional, after using the same product for many years.

I used to sell Mary K and they have a fantastic lip exfoliator and the best lip balm ever, really. I have dry skin naturally and live in an arid climate, but it works.
