Ok a few things have changed again...lol
there is a one bedroom mobile home with a wood stove on the non electric side that a boy bought & used while doing the hay fields for Mary, well he is off to Texas to work in the oil business & doesn't want to move the thing so Mary & hubby bought it from him...I will be living in it.

it is hooked up to the sewer, had running water & I can have the electric turned on if I want but will not do that.....but the sisters were happy to see the running cold water.....

its a newer mobile home so is in great shape & its right next to where the chicken coop is that we had to work on when I took the sisters up there.

now it seems Mr. Grumpy who is in the main house is mad I will be on the farm & wants to move out, but for now we have no idea if he is taking the cows so I may be tending to them...will find out later today about all that & let you know.

Thomas got home late the day the sisters left but since I have been battling a migraine we have not talked about any of this as of yet......so we will see what occurs next with that part of my life....

The sisters & I went apple picking & canned up 23 quart jars of apple sauce, did a gallon bag of beef jerkys & dried a bunch of the apples also while they were here.....Big sis even made little meat balls for me that are in the freezer right now waiting for the food dryer to take with me...

So for now everything is still a go but am so tired & have to get in the shop to get out all the power tools so I can check them & get new blades ect for them.....so this week will be doing that since I have most of the in house stuff done plus need to mix up the 100's of pounds of mixed chicken feeds to get in the 55 gallon barrels so I don't have to mess with that once I get there.....

Sold 3 more of my book while the sisters were here so that was great...I am cashing all the checks & sticking the money in my big pink plastic piggy bank for the chickens...lol.........Am still amazed people want my book....I knew I could write but never ever dreamed someone else would really be interested in what I write about......

have a great day all you wonderful hens....Michele'

just a quick note to answer question from below...yes I am taking both my rain barrels with me...can't live without those puppies....Was able to talk to Thomas a bit today, still unsure if he gets whats going on but I can't explain it in any clearer english so we will see, but he was happy for me to be there with all the troubles going on with Mr. Grumpy, He really likes Mary & her family so though not happy about me leaving for a year is happy I will be helping her at least. Plus he is going with me when I take the u-haul up with all the stuff to see where I will be & help unload all of it...so am thankful for that...plus to be honest I think he will love the place & be happy to come for visits...lol....

I'm glad you have a place to live that doesn't need fixing up. I was worried about you for the winter. Sounds like you're in for a real adventure. i'd like to live a rustic lifestyle but I have to have my computer. to keep in touch but also because I submit poems that have to be electronically submitted. Your chickens should be happy too. I entered a drawing yesterday for a free rain barrel so we'll see how that goes. Will you have a rain barrel where you are? At least you'll have plenty to eat this winter. You go for it, farmgirl!

So glad to hear that it will be a bit easier to live there now. Best of luck to you and please let us know what we can do to help. Wish I could go with you, sounds like an adventure I would take, but I don't think hubby would live without my cooking!! LOL!!!

Michele,

That is great news. Good to know that you will have a good roof over your head when winter sets in! I hope you get some well deserved rest after all of that prepping!

Michelle- SO happy to read that this is all working out for you. Glad that you have a more "permanent" type of housing. It sounds like a wonderful adventure, and I give you alot of credit for taking the bull by the horns and going for it! Just think of the book you will be able to write next! LOL
Keep us posted before you leave. I will miss "seeing you" here on the farm. Be well and stay in touch as much as possible!
Hugs,
