When I got home today, I had an email from the Holiday Market saying I am approved! It's the first 3 weekends in Dec. at the Chatanooga Market Pavilion. I'll do the first 2 weekends. It's Friday, Sat. and Sunday. I am really excited about this market. LOTS of people go to this one. And no one makes what I do with my jars and vases. So I have got to get busy and make a lot of them. And soap too. Lots of soap. Oh my, there's going to be a lot to do to get ready for this market.

Thank you all! I do feel like things are a changin' here at Outback Farm. I am wrapping some soap in pretty little strips of fabric and some in the brown packing paper I got from an office supply store. ANd I use different colors of rafia to tie it. I do need little tags to say what each soap is.

Any more good ideas will be appreciated right now. Thanks again!

AND there is a turkey shoot-craft-yard sale in Nov. up the road from me at Camp New Dawn. I went a few years ago and sold a lot of soap then. I'll go to that as well.

I just made 2 batches of soap. I hope they turn out good. My poor stick blender might not be able to do too many more. It gets hot really fast now. I have to stir and let it cool down. Even run cold water over it. I made a peppermint sage with ground sage leaves. And a hiney oatmeal goat milk soap.

I am a wait til the last minute type person. I have never planned ahead too far. So this is a little scary for me. I know the jars won't be too hard to do closer to the market but soap needs a long time to cure. So I need to be making a few batched every few days so I'll have enough for 5 days of sales. I need motivation!

Thanks, Marly. I am being positive. It really helps.

Laurie, I did start an Etsy shop with my vases but have not sold any. Probably priced too high. I should put my soaps on their but I'll wait til after market. My Etsy site is FatGoatsRecycledJars. Tell me what you think.

I have been working like crazy to get everything done and ready for this market. I have no idea what all it would take to get here. And I thought I had signed up for the first 2 weekends, but have the 2nd and 3rd. Which I was relieved because that gave me an extra week to make more. And I did! And now I am all ready to pack up and go. I have some friends and my daughter and grand daughter to help unload. We have from 5-5:20 to unload my truck and Trooper. I just hope they provide rolling carts. Otherwise, this could take awhile to do. And I don't know where my booth is yet. Probably all the way at the back somewhere.

Anyway, please think of me today and this weekend. I am so nervous. Never having done this on such a huge scale, I am afraid I won't have enough. But I have 100 wash clothes and dish clothes, 8 big totes of jars, vases, candle holders and Christmas jars, 10 boxes of soap. I hope that's enough for at least this weekend. I can always make more jars next week. So please send some good thoughts my way for this to be a success. For me and this market. And thank you to all who have commented here so far!

Finally figured out the new camera! So here are some pictures. If y'all have any advice about the layout of the booth, please feel free to share with me. I am new at this and don't really know what to do about a booth set up. And I need to sell stuff!

Thanks for looking and thanks for your nice comments and support.

Tried to post a comment on the blog but it asks for a profile and I don't have one. Anyway, I love all the color. Your latterns are SO nice and the soap table looks great. I so hope you do well. Just wondering how much you are selling your dish clothes for? I never know what to charge. Please keep us posted. Joey

Hi Joey. I am just charging $3 each or 2 for $5. I have sold a lot of them. And as gift sets with the soap. I don't know why you can't post on my blog. Sometimes I have a problem with other people's blogs, but not lately. I think you have to choose a profile like Google or something like that. I always use Google. So you may have to be signed in to one of those things first to post. Sorry. But thanks for stopping by!
