Here in Billings Montana, for that matter in the eastern part of the state we have had too much warm weather and no rain.
I want the cooler fall temperatures now!- 75 to 65 degrees with some rain. We are only half of the amount of rainfall for the year in the Billings area and less in other areas close by. This means we have only had about 5 inches to the annual amount of over 10 inches for rainfall so far this year. We are so dry we might just blow away. The rivers are very low compared to just average flow rates. I hope this does not continue through next year. We have had many fires in the area and this has cause many of the ranchers or farmers big headaches.

I agree! It has been way too hot and dry. I feel like we are about to shrivel up and blow away- the second great dust bowl if no moisture comes soon- or should that be ash bowl due to all the fires?
Louisiana has had cooler weather, in the mornings, two days in a row. Yesterday morning it was 64, and this morning it was 66. I love it. Marly

I agree Marlee. Loving this break in temperature and SE Indiana got storms night before last! Woohoo! I heard that some areas north of us got some tornadic activity which of course is not good. For us, we had some wind and lightening; a bit of thunder and rain blessed rain for a few hours and it was amazing. Now the weather is cooler and I put on the electric blanket last evening in preparation for cold feet and legs (circulation isn't what it should me) but its all good :) I am so looking forward to all the sewing, woodworking, and campfires and also having tea parties with my children through the colder months. They are all getting bigger and thinking of the day when they will be leaving home but they still love the tea parties and snuggles with mama when it gets cold and I'm gonna hold on for dear life.
