Agriculture Secretary Vilsack Announces Grants to Support Beginning Farmers and Ranchers across 24 States

New, Expanded Efforts Underscore USDA’s Commitment to Young, Beginning and Socially-Disadvantaged Farmers

Might be of interest if you are just getting started. I think I saw that a "beginning" farmer is someone who has been farming for less than 10 years.

Hi Brenda,

Thanks for sharing this. It's really interesting.
It says that it covers 24 states but I can't find where it says which 24 states (I'm looking for Maine).
I tried the links that are embedded in the text, but no luck so far. Do you know which states this covers?

Thanks, again, for posting this.

Karen
