I am needing some plus sized hiking pants so I can continue walking and hiking throughout the winter months. I need something besides cotton but have a hard time finding anything to fit me. (Price is a concern, too.) I haven't sewn much in YEARS but perhaps if I got an EASY pattern with an elastic waist...???
I need suggestions of fabric for my pants. Something that won't wick up water like cotton and will dry quickly. And a fabric I can sew on since I'm such a beginner (i.e. nothing really stretchy).
