Does anyone make up vegetable pizzas for the freezer? It's a great way to use up the extra garden. I saute a combo of vegetables, fresh basil & homemade tomato sauce then the assembly line begins. I put homemade cheese on during the last part of baking. It's easy to grab one of the busy nights.
I'm looking for some new pizza dough recipes. Would anyone share please?
Thanks
Judy

Hi Judy~

Do you pre-bake your pizzas then freeze them? How long to you pre-bake? Then how long to heat them when you want to make one from the freezer?

I have never had luck with making my own crusts. We buy the foccacia crusts here in town at an Amish deli.I top them with brushed on olive oil, mozzarella cheese, thinly sliced tomaotoes, fresh basil leaves and a little more cheese.Delicious!

Hi Tina,
Yep, living in the boonies means making the crust from the get go. Your deli crust sounds easy & yummy! I've just made the pizzas up & then froze them. The crust is thin with cooked vegetables so they really cook up fast. I read somewhere that putting alittle olive oil between dough & toppings that it would help the crust from being soggy. So far so good. I pre heat the oven to 425 & use a heated stone, maybe that helps??
I'm trying herbs & cheese right inside the dough this time. I hope the cheese doesn't stick to the stone

Oh man, I want pizza now! Good, homemade, fresh pizza! (None of that store-bought crap! lol) And....I have nothing to make it with.
