For your sandwich? Put it in a bowl of water in yo fridge until you
need some. It will keep for a few days.

I wrap my lettuce in a dry cloth or paper napkin (in a bundle with the top sticking out) and stick the bundle in a plastic bag- leave open- and it lasts for a couple of weeks just great. Figured that out because we do Bountiful Baskets and sometimes end up with lots of extra lettuce. =)
