So I'm thinking I'm going to sew up some bib aprons and bought a couple skirts off Ebay. I'm either going to buy or sew a flannel "slip" or petticoat for winter just to try it out and see if it's at all practical.
That said, what do you wear for a TOP??? Like the jumpers I can put a thermal shirt, turtle neck or long sleeved shirt underneath, do you wear any old shirt with a prairie skirt? Or a patchwork skirt?
Sorry if I sound like a dolt. I don't usually put this much effort into what I wear. ![](icons/icon_smile_dead.gif)

i usually 'layer' tops ... a cute t-shirt or blouse with a big sweater floppin' over it ... sometimes a sexy little top with a blue jean or other cute jacket over it. xo

I am a get ready quick girl. I don't like a lot of fuss either, because of that most of my clothes are mix and match. I use the same blouses and t's for my prarie skirts as I do with my jean skirts. Like Frannie, I layer a lot because it makes my wardrobe seem a lot bigger. Also, I follow the rule that I can never wear more than one loose garmet (I like to wear my clothes, not get lost in them). |

I mainly wear fitted type t-shirts - so they are flattering with my skirts, or I wear a tank top with a cardigan over that. I recommend a book called Dressing With Dignity - I have always felt better wearing skirts/dresses/jumpers and I was so happy to read something that validated that.

yep....all my shirts are fitted as well....I kinda live by the same thing, only one flowing item on my body at a time.
I just like the girlie feeling I have wearing skirts and dresses. I like my jeans too, but I wear aprons as well :)
