I think Connie is correct that the plant may be in the Hibiscus/Malvaceae family based on the the single pistil in the center of Marly's flower. It is definitely not a Daylily because there would have to be a pistil and multiple stamens in the center of it for it to be a member of the Lily/Lilaceae family. Without being able to see the leaves and the form of the plant it's hard to identify.
Marly...see my earlier post on the first page...you do not have a pot plant.
