Has anyone had a roo lose its voice? Yesterday our three year old rooster's crow sounded different, and today its almost like he's lost his voice. Doesn't seem to be otherwise sick. Is this something I should be concerned about? The joke around here is he lost his voice with his constant crowing at all the up and coming roosters (who will be butchered next week.) Maybe if I'd just tell him that...he'd rest his voice and get better? ;)

I once had a roo that had a piece of sweet feed caught in his throat. The skin grew over it. I never was able to get it out. Nasty problem. But anyway it made his crow sound weird.

I have no advise at all, just wanted to tell you this made me giggle alittle...a rooster who lost his crow....ha! (now that sounds like a great title for a childrens book!)
