She's loooovely! I love a black kitteh! Especially sweet since I had to put my old boy, Prof. Pumpkin down a few weeks ago at 14. Love her!!!!

Audrey is over the moon! They are so cute together. It's like a 1960's Disney movie, the way they play together. I checked on them several times last night after Audrey went to bed and "Mittens" was sleeping right next to Audrey's pillow.
She's mostly black with four white paws and a white tummy. Such a good, affectionate kitty!

Thanks girls! But I have to admit I had nothing to do with her name. Audrey named her before we even adopted her! It was love at first sight for those two!

Oh, I had forgotten just how much fun a new "baby" in the house is! Her fur is so soft and she is settling right in. She's such a good girl, too.

Emily, Audrey is ten. This is her first kitty, as a kitten, because the other two were both over ten when she was born. We lost our Angel last year at twenty, and Badger and Muffin have really slowed down this year. Audrey has begged for a kitten for as long as I can remember, and now she is old enough to take care of her herself. She has done a great job being a new kitty mama!
I was just her age when I got a kitten, too. Such a special time. And that little baby has our hearts wrapped around those lil white paws!

10 is s good age to get a kitty. Still young enough to grow up with a pet, but old enough to understand the responsibilities. I think it's pretty amazing that you had a cat that lived to be 20. That is a blessing! I'm glad you are all enjoying Mittens. I love how animals become special members of our families! :)

Oh, Miss Mittens is just great! She is so precious. My dh even wants to see her first thing when he comes home from work at night! We all just love her. She is the sweetest girl. She is so neat, too! She actually "wipes" her paws on the side of the litter box before jumping out! She's settled in quite nicely, and now the dog is okay about it, too. Audrey is the happiest I've ever seen her! Mittens sleeps on the top of Audrey's pillow at night. I think you are right, she has grown! Thanks for asking!

Oh, I love her. I have baby kitty dreams almost every night. I'm not even pregnant. lol! Sometimes they have "Minky" like fur with blue polka-dots.

Has anyone else met a cat who loves water? Mittens keeps jumping in the shower with Audrey and plays in the water every night (and she's not thirsty). This morning I was drawing up a hot bath when "Ker-Splash"...Mittens jumped in and started swimming! No cat I've ever had has done this before. She looks like a little drowned rat all sopping wet, bless her heart! I'd love to know if anyone else has a cat that does this...
She also now grabs the dogs face in her paws and "kisses" it.
Also, there's more about Mittens and how she came to us on my latest blog entry. (Including new pics)! :)
