Giggle. She'll do good, I'm sure. Remember when you learn to drive. Take a breath, both of you, and enjoy it. Good luck, Natalie.

With white knuckle fear and an invisible passenger side brake, my three children all learned to drive. There should be a special gift to all parents who survive teaching how to drive.

My daughters were very level-headed and did very well. My son not so much.

She will do well and so will you. Let us know it progresses.

Well, I drove through town today and I didn't see any cars that were smashed in with steam coming out of them or downed telephone poles so she must have done ok! :)

Isn't it fun when they start correcting your driving habits?

Oh my gosh I remember teaching my boys to drive. It was so nerve racking. My younger son did much better than my oldest son. My oldest son wanted to drive us home from the License place. It started storming and raining so hard you could not see the road . He almost drove us right into a retention pond. It was so scary........It was a while before I let him drive me again....

well...the driving has been going pretty good..up until last night..she was babysitting for some families at our church, while the parents were in a Bible study. She wanted to drive home and I lost my cool because I felt she didn't have control over the car and was going a little too fast. Now, when I picked her up today from drivers ed..she didn't want to drive because she said I'm not calm..I'll try again tonight! The life of a teenager and her mom!!

Hey Lori, I'm a young Wisconsin driver too! I take my road test next week to get my license! I definitely think that drivers ed teachers help a lot, as long as they're a good teacher. And I feel like my mom can sympathize with you about the loss of control :) Hope things get better and she becomes a good driver!

Will do! Good luck to both you and your daughter! I hope when she takes her road test that her DMV worker is nice, I think that made all the difference when I took my road test. Hugs to you!
