My husband had a great interview today for something that could be her career until he retires. I am really hoping that this works out. If you could keep this in your good thoughts and prayers that he gets choosen and also that we hear soon- that would be amazing!

Alee, Hoping that this job does work out for Doug... how exciting it would be to have a nice stable job for many years to come- especially in this economy! Good Luck (fingers and toes crossed!) Hugs,

Thanks everyone! We both are employed right now (Thankfully!) but he is very unhappy in his current job and it is eating away at him. He had a 90 minute interview yesterday with his prospective immediate boss and the two owners. He has loads of experience, just not neccessarily managerial experience but he has been leads and supervisor in the past so hopefully it works out!!

Alee, people-smarts can be so much more important than experience in management positions. I sure hope the interviewers keep that in mind. What a happy feeling it would be to have a job that you could keep until retirement! Jobs that eat at your husband really have a way of ruining your day, too, don't they!
Best wishes that it all turns out in your favor. Hope you hear soon. The waiting part is the worst! Marianne |

They aren't sure when they want him due to it being a recent aquisitions. They also offered him about $1200 a year less than the minimum offered salary so he is going to counter-offer on Friday and I hope they at least bump him up to 35k.

He decided to accept the lower amount offered. We are waiting to see when his start date would be. We are probably going to live with my folks for a while, but we will be seperated for about 4 months while I finish up my degree and our lease here. It's going to be tough but I think that it will end up making us stronger and it will give us some great opportunities. :)
