...and now that we have a farm, he got one. :)
Introducing Jasper! He's 11 years old and sweet as they come. Hasn't been rode for a year and a half. After he gets used to (spoiled) life at our new farm, we get to re-introduce him to riding!

He looks great, but please take the nylon halter off if he is going to be out without a lead rope and a handler. I have seen horses get seriously injured and killed because the nylon halters don't break if they get caught. If the horse has to wear a halter when out, please use leather or a breakaway halter. Sorry- I it's just one of those things that I have to mention when I see it.
He looks like a beautiful horse. Look at that nice sheen to his hide. I hope he gives you many happy years!

Nice horse, congrats! I would ride first then spoil according to his behavior, else he may think he's just there for the gravy train. It's safer for everyone involved to set some rules and standards first. Also one doesn't want to get attached to a horse unless they are going to work out and be safe and a pleasure to ride. Love the horse but love hubby more :) and Keep him safe. And even a good horse can turn sour if they are spoiled.

Yeah that's not spoiling that's just getting to know him. Sounds like a good plan. Groundwork is always a good thing :) Just sometimes a horse that is left to themselves and only fed for a while can get a little pushy. A nice refresher on respect for personal space is a good thing. It carries through to other respect scenarios. I'm sure you have it figured out, I'm just a fanatic about horse safety.

He really is a nice looking horse. He looks very well muscled and fast. He has his hind legs up under him which means he can push off pretty fast. Just 2 cents worth from a breeder of race/ barrel horses. Is he registered? Just as nice of a horse if he isn't. I'm just curious about his bloodlines.
