We do love our vintage vanity sets. Mine is the set on the left, black needlepoint backs. Robin's is the brass colored set.
When mine is not glamping with me it is on my bedroom dresser. . . looks fabulous there too!

Layers of pretty sheets, curtains of all styles, tablecloths, dresser scarves . . . anything we can come up with that we like.
We even used a pretty battenburg lace trimmed ecru colored bedskirt and a couple cloth, lacy shower curtains that has the attached valance at the top.
And a BA-ZILLON clothespins. We also used the round brass-colored "pinchy" drapery rings and clips that are typically used to attach a badge/name tag to a lanyard.

These items were large enough to drape over both sides of the curtain. This is the side that passersby could see from the campground road. The blue item in the center is an apron. I forgot all my vintage waist aprons but we had PLENTY of other things to use.

On one side we hung lacy curtains that didn't go all the way down and were on clips that we could move back and forth on the rope. We closed those mainly to shade the inside of the canopy from the sun for part of the day.

To hide the concrete cylinder weights (at the bottom) at each corner pole . . on the front two we draped pretty sheets over the top of the canopy frame and then just wrapped them around the pole and weight and tied with a bow. On one corner we also ran our extension cords up the pole hidden inside the "drapery" to the top for our glamp-light strand.

WOW! Gracie those are beautiful! I was just so tickled to find these sets from the same Etsy shop for great prices. Robin's set has a comb and mine has a clothes brush.

Here's a pic of my set . . . I thought I had one but just took another one. And this is how it looks on my dresser. I don't have one of Robin's and she's almost back home in Phoenix

A closer look at the needlepoint design.

Hmmmmm . . . maybe I need to get a set for my bathroom too!!

We were out and about, walking, hiking and such when it wasn't raining. But when it was raining we found other things to do.
We both got quite a bit of embroidery done on Merit Badges.

Robin is embroidering . . .don't you love her cap?? (it was rainy and cool . . she's from Arizona!)
And

I was trying to keep in contact with my hubby via email. We had internet access but no cell phone service. AND, posting pics and such to this thread. (I also got some badge embroidery done!)

This is the "waiting area" at the restroom/shower house. We took turns waiting with Bramble.

I luv a quiet lazy dazy afternoon to get a little x-stitch done....
Hey guess what? I found another vinatge comb & brush set....that I had stashed away.... this one has an Asian Flair to it...
But now I am on the prowl to find an embroidered one like yours! I Luv It! Sa-weet!

oh and the 'tray' it is on,,, is a cabinet door that I bought for $1 and 2 forks, .25cents each... now to paint the cabinet door, screw on the forks for handles and Voila! instant servingt tray...
Hope you Robin enjoyed your getaway..oh & Bramble too!
Safe travels home & Wagons HO!

We had our new-found friends from Texas over for tea on Thursday afternoon. (Go back to page two for the story about meeting them and the hubby of one being reluctant to look at our tent . . )

We served tea in real china, fresh sweet cherries from Laurie in Hotchkiss, fig newtons and had a lovely, lovely visit!!!

"Birdie" on the left,(Bramble on the rug next to her) LouAnn from Ft. Worth and Jancy from Lubbock.

And, after dark we enjoyed the ambience of jar candles, our "glamp-light" strand and a little table lamp.

Soon, off to bed . . cozy inside our new tent with comfy beds "dressed" up with afghans, pretty pillows, cushy rugs and lovely linens!

Hey Gracie,
Bramble's pink "Princess" rug bed was at the foot my bed (the one on the right of the pic). However, when it comes time to actually sleep she is ON the bed with me, all snuggled up close. She actually does well on the bed with me, she doesn't move around much and when she goes to bed, she goes to bed . . ZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!

We went hiking one morning . . before the mountain showers came. The campground elevation was at 8100 feet and we hiked further up on the Calico Trail.
While we had no cell service our phones were handy for taking pictures!!
"Birdie" and me

My sweet Bramble . . . what a treasure she is.

And right-t-t- there . . . RIGHT THERE . . . is our "glamp" site. Can't you see it? Seriously it is right there and we could see the top of our canopy.

The mountain showers come sooooooo, well you get out your handy dandy tarps and cover stuff. And, find something to do under the canopy!

The tent stayed DRY!!! HALLELUJAH!! We used this tarp to cover the screened porch to keep that area dry.

Then you just pull one over your dining/cook table and wait it out

Then you spend some time under the canopy doing embroidery or something like that. Cover up your pooch so she can have a little rainy afternoon snooze.

And then, a toast! The rain has stopped and you can pull the tarp off the table and cook supper . . . it's ALL GOOD! You can see the dry area of the ground under the canopy and the wet area. Thank goodness the site was covered liberally with nice gravel!

Our neighbors on one side had left a day earlier then we did so we enjoyed a clearer view of the river valley. And then the next morning we ere packing up to leave when a couple with a honking big motor home pulled in to that site. They were from Oklahoma and we discovered that we had already met the lady a couple days earlier. They had been in another site and for some reason had to move.
The day we met her she had come in and asked if she could take a closer look which she did and just ooohhhh-d and ahhhhh-d. She looked it all over closely, looked in the tent and told us it was just "precious".
So, when they "moved in" next door and saw that we were leaving they both looked at us with such disappointment and said . . . "You're leaving? Oh, we were looking so forward to being your neighbors!" We had a nice short visit as they set up and we packed up.
It's so fun meeting folks in these adventures . . .
Looking forward to the next time, next place and the people we will meet.

BTW: we are still keeping in touch with Jimmy . . the gentleman from Texas that we met in Arizona in March! Shared some of these pics with him too!
