So my husband was able to pick up 4 long under ground piping. He is going to cut then long ways in to and put legs on them so I can enjoy my gardening more. I am just getting to up in age to do all that crawling around on the ground and pulling weeds. So I am excited . My neighbors as they got older built benches and started doing container gardening.
They seem to harvest alot more produce.

I'd love to see a picture of the above ground garden! We have raised garden areas, but we still pull weeds.
I like the idea of more produce.

My garden this year is 2 galvanized water troughs, a big round one, and a small oval, 2 tractor tires, a feed bunk that lost its' legs, a small plastic watering trough, a cast iron form for something, some cattle protein tubs, and a chunk of galvanized pipe about 18 inches across. That is so far. I have some busted up plastic tubs I want to get dirt into. So far it has been good. The weeds that have some up are very easty to pull, since I don't have to bend over or get on my knees. When the plants get bigger and shade the ground, the weed problem should be taken care of. I am watering by hand, may have to figure something else out later. Would love to see pictures of everyone's container gardens. Had our first radishes yesterday.

Greetings from the morning side of the hill.

Now living in an apt. I do container gardening on the balcony. Have learned a lot about vertical gardening as well. Works great for herbs. It certainly is a way for us to enjoy gardening as we get older and the ol bones don't cooperate as much!
Dorinda, I think you will just love it! Enjoy!

Blessings,
Linda
