My Aunt gave me this,I really like these older pieces, perfect for flowers.
Off to get a big grocery order, been to three days of a Funeral for a favorite Aunt on Richard's side.
Also to the post office to mail out the 4th of July swap box. Looks like a nice day weather wise, so I think I will give my outside plants some plant food to perk them up, kind of like coffee for plants.

Beautiful. I agree, I think it would look lovely with some flowers in it.

That is a lovely pitcher! I also love the old books. I have quite a few of those myself. My hubby and I can never come out of an antique or thrift without scouring the place for books. I don't know how you find a place for all your lovely things NancyJo but your house always looks so pretty.
hugs!

O, a trouble's a ton or a trouble's an ounce,
Or a trouble is what you make it!
And it isn't the fact that you're hurt that counts,
But only--how did you take it?

Oh! SO beautiful, Nancy... What a wonderful gift! It looks like an R.S. Prussia piece, maybe? I used to have a lovely reproduction R.S. Prussia tea set... it was a treasure!!! Hugs - Nini

Very pretty, nancy. Although, I love everything you post on your blog. You have such a knack for finding the perfect display items.

That reminds me of a chocolate pot that I had years ago and the subject of a painting I did. I sure wish I had both the pot and the painting now.

You have so many lovely "pretties" and I love to see your posts.

Beautiful Pitcher it looks very Victorian. I am addicted to cake plates and plates. I can not even get all the plates into my cabinets at this point. It is especially nice to get something so pretty that came from a favorite aunt.

Now if I just had some of Brenda's wild flowers to put in it that would be perfect.
