Today is Nora's first day at the YMCA! She is going to summer camp there and then they will be the ones that pick her up from school in the fall. We figured since she had graduated from Preschool and will be going into public school we should introduce her to the YMCA over summer so it wasn't such a drastic change for her come fall.

She is really excited, especially about her swimming lessons.

Yesterday we bought her a new water bottle, a new towel, and a new insulated lunchbox for her summer camp!

Fun for Nora. I hope she enjoys her day! Have lots of fun Nora, and enjoy your swimming lessons.

What a great a idea for Nora to transition her slowly. She will have a blast and maybe make a few friends that she'll have in her class this fall.
Have fun Nora,

That sounds wonderful Alee! Best of luck with the whole process. I am sure Nora will do great and really enjoy herself!
I remember how "nervous" I was when my little ones left pre-school for public school. Now in September my son will move to the High School and I am REALLY nervous!!!!!!!!!

I was afraid she would miss her old school, but she was ready for a change. She was skipping to the YMCA this morning. We only live four blocks away which is nice. I am really looking forward to hearing about her adventures today

I just picked up Nora from the Y. She had a great day! Her teacher said it was a pleasure having her. Nora was so excited about getting to swim. She also got to have her very first bus ride (which she has been talking about for over a year!) Such a big day!

I'm so happy Nora had a good time. I hope you took a picture of her first bus ride. How sweet.
