Posted a picture of the leaf part. I'm going to do flowers next.I have always pressed leaves but not flowers. Why didn't I? Well I don't know. So I'm going to try.

Are those red maple leaves? I like that idea of pressing flowers and leaves. However, if my cat would find them, she'd probably try to eat them up.

Funny you should mention pressing flowers Nancy! I am gathering oodles of stuff for a rummage sale in two weeks and I have a flower press DH made me a couple of years ago. It's not very pretty ...made of plywood and four nuts and bolts with heavy industrial cardboard stacks-about 4 of those-for multiple pressings-It works really well. So I tried a few flowers from my garden and after they were sufficiently pressed I thought "Now what?" It's been sitting in the downstairs closet since...Maybe I'll get a good price for it considering it is all handcrafted and sturdy as all get out!

It was fun though gathering and pressing "perfect" specimens from the flower bed!
