There are special crafting gloves you can buy that are designed to alleviate the pain that comes from overusing your hands and wrists...I've seen them at joanns but i'm sure other places have them too. Not sure about a natural remedy...maybe one of the other farm girls can weigh in on that. Also, you may want to try warm, moist heat-it can be very soothing for overworked muscles.
I'm an avid sewer and paper crafter myself, so I know what you are going through! I had to finally have surgery on my left wrist last summer, but hopefully you can put that off for a good long while. Good Luck! |

Epsom salts and warm water. Also Arnica gel it is a stress and strain and bruises lotion. And the craft gloves I use the fingerless ones and really love them. Diana

Ever hear of Two Old Goats lotion? It is supposed to soothe aching joints using 6 essential oils added to the goat milk lotion. It is sold at most hardware stores, you can Google them to find a store near you.

Kristina, My hands kill me, too. Arthritis has set in terribly. I couldn't use the crafting gloves because my hand pain is mostly in the thumb joint where it connects to the hand/wrist. It hurt too much getting the tight gloves on and off.
I haven't found anything that does much for my pain ... exept the NONnatural ibuprofen. It makes a huge difference for me.
Good luck.
I just am always so surprised how often I read a thread that "applies" to me and you are the author. I think we are on parallel life courses! Marianne |

you can try tea tree oil, clove oil, peppermint oil (not necessarily mixed together but that'd probably be good too). Lavender is also good. You might consider adding some Noni to your diet, it is AWESOME for inflammation and pain. Soaks in warm epsom salt is good too.

Glad to see this. My hands go numb sometimes and sometimes really stiff in the joints especially in the mornings. I just don't know what the numbness could be. I am 54 . So I've been reading some of the post, and hopefully use some of the advice to get some relief. Thank you Sisters. -Marlee

kristina, Duh, sorry I didn't mention this earlier. One of the most helpful things I have is a paraffin hot wax dip. The moist hear is WONDERFUL. Especially in the winter. And it softens your skin. The soothing warmth is so nice. Marianne |

Numbness is generally associated with something pressing on a nerve somewhere in your body--could be in the hand, arm, neck or back. You may find it very helpful to see a really good chiropractor for some manipulation which should help.

I have problems with my shoulders which can effect my hands. I have found deep tissue massage therapy the best remedy for my shoulders and then in between sessions I use a product called Biofreeze or just some menthol/camphor rub on my knuckles and wrists.
