Thank you girls . . . it truly is a miracle! The odds were not exactly in her favor, but she IS God's creation!!
She spent the evening, VERY QUIETLY snoozing on my lap while I was relaxing, then went to her basket for the night. We've given her little bits of ground beef (from the beef we raised and butchered) now and then, she's been eating her catfood and drinking water. This morning she is up and chatting a bit about it.
Yes, it would probably be some story if she could tell us where she's been and what she's been through. The red dirt on her feet means she was not right here in the immediate area of our property. And she is always so meticulous about cleaning herself, so her grubby state indicated something of a significant journey.
Thank you again, girls!!! And, I'm thanking God!!

Yay! Skye is home!!! What relief!! It sure would be nice to hear her tales of the adventures she's been on! I am curious about the red dirt too!? Hmmm?! We farmgirls could turn this into a story...what we thought might've been! SOOO glad she's home!

Oh my goodness! I just read that Skye was missing and then thankfully got to read that she was already home so I didn't have to worry very long. I'm so happy she's back and sounds like she had to come back a very long way. Poor baby! I bet her little paws were tuckered out! I very, very happy for CJ!

Yay Skye! Yay CJ! So happy to see this update. Thank goodness she found her way back home. As you said, wouldnt it be so neat to hear about and see all of the places she went and things she saw. What an adventure it must have been!
Praise God that she is home safely!

Again, I just want to say THANK YOU for your prayers and THANK YOU GOD!!
Skye is doing good and seems to be getting her vim, vigor and vitality back. She's still kinda grubby . . can't believe how "ground in" the dirt is. But she's not letting me do much cleaning . . . oh well! My hubby and I talk about what/where/how of her adventure.
God bless you all!

CJ, I just read this thread...oh my goodness what a BLESSING to have your girl back!! I wonder if she wasn't trapped inside of something and finally found her way out. In any case, I'll bet she doesn't wander very far away again!! Happy, happy days!!

Paula,
My hubby and I have talked about her getting trapped somewhere as a possibility and it took everything she had to get out. That would probably explain the "ground in" grub and being a bit thinner than she was. But she's not talking about in language we can understand.
She is recovering! YAY!

Hi CeeJay, How funny is this, my only daughter's name is Skye...We have 4 boys and Skye..She is our 4th child. Her middle name is Erika..I named her that because she was born a year after our son was killed in an auto accident...I just knew that God had sent His angels to carry Nicholas to the sky. So when she came along, I knew that had to be her name.....You cat is beautiful!! I cannot remember ever not having a cat....Smiles

You can never be to kind!

I'm so glad Skye found her way back home where she belongs My brother's cat Boots went missing once--he kept imagining he could hear her meowing at night--after being missing s few days he went to the closet to get out the vacuum--and there she was! Hungry, but just fine. Cats sometimes get into places they can't get out of--but Skye found her way out! Her kitty angel was with her. I bet she's really happy to be safe at home again. Exploring is fun, but there are limits!
