Okay my farmgirls, put your thinking caps on. This is my bedroom which I am redecorating in colonial/primitive style and colors. I need some ideas for wall and crown molding colors. Also I would like to find a paint thats non-toxic for breathing. My linens on the bed are from Heirloom (forgot the full name lol). The colors are browns, tans. I have 2 different blankets on the bed. My curtains are homespun material in a navy plaid.

I think I would paint the walls two shades lighter than your bedding and moldings a colonial navy blue. For
a "headboard" you could hang a quilt 3/4 up the wall, I think that would be cozy looking.

I love the lamp "coaster" on your night stand. Is it a rag rug?

Love your ideas Julie. The "coaster" is actually a braided seat cushion. It had strings attached to tie to a chair but I cut them off. I bought a few of these in different colors and just use them around my home. I also use them on my kitchen table as placemats.
