Put me down for two please.

All you gals are great and fun to swap with, but it sure would be nice if more would sign up.

What are you all doing or planning on doing with your blocks? As soon as the year of blocks is complete I am going to make a quilt as you go.. I think that is what it is called.. so I can have a unique lap quilt next winter.

Two more days till sign up closes!! Jonesy you are going to have a nice size lap quilt ..... LOL. Twelve 12 inch blocks. It will be perfect for naps right? I think that I am going to put one set in a quilt and my other set will be small wall hangings that I plan on hanging in my sewing room. Anyone else have any plans?

Barbara, You got me thinking about the size of the "lap" quilt. LOL Since I sign up for two blocks a month that would be 24 at the end of the year AND I also make one extra each month to keep toward the "lap" quilt. OMG, that would be 36 blocks... NO my lap is not THAT big. Yeah! I can add a few blank blocks, sashing and trim... I will have enough for a real size quilt! Wow am I excited now!

Dear Barbara,
I put your envelope in the mail today, so you should get your block next week. I hope you enjoy! Are we going to do a June block?

The past three weeks have been a whirl in my life. Must confess I do not like it when I can not keep track of things. Yes I will post about the June block swap. I really want to keep this going for the year. I hope to get your block in the mail this week. The most exciting think that I can say is that we are official empty nesters. Yhea !!! Now to get back to my routine. And get caught up with everything...... I do have a quilt retreat this weekend and I have not even started packing.

Just a thought to throw out. Since it is now the middle of June a everyone has yet to receive their May blocks, it seems we a a bit behind on the calender. Soooo

How about we either:
skip June and go right to July, so by July 15th everyone will have their July block
OR better idea
Do and June and July block and have them out by July 15th?

Just a suggestion,
Joan

Oh Cherise,

So sorry that you have not been feeling well. Please take care of yourself and don't worry about sending my block until you're better.

I am glad that you like the block and goodies that I sent. It was fun to get it all together for you.

Be well,
Joan

Joan I received my block and I love it. Hope you got yours. Also thanks for all the little goodies. Sorry I did not add any to yours. Mom took her last treatment yesterday and we have had VBS at church all this week so I am tired.. I also like the idea of the June-July swap.

Not to be a problem. . . but I have made June and July blocks. Thinking they would be going to two different people, I used the same fabric. Maybe we can work this out.

Rebecca, It would be fine with me...if everyone agrees... that we can still do both months, yet have two different partners one for June and one for July just as in any other month.

How about it girls... what do you all think?
