If one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life which he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours. Henry David Thoreau

I am a new Framgirl and my birthday is July 7, 1951. Can't believe I am entering the 60s decade!!!! Lots to be thankful for!!
Mine is the same as my grandmother's...January 28. Born in the 60's...remember when TV's switch to color and rotary phones. I also remember wondering when I was very young why they kept reporting on TV about gorillas fighting. I learned later it was "guerrillas" in Vietnam.

Funny, Paula. My Mom worked a full-time job in an era when most women did not so we always had "a little extra"-we were the first family on the block to get a black and white TV and I remember when rotary phones had their own 2 tier table..the phone went on the top and the phone book went on the bottom. I remember telephone "party lines" and I remember getting our first non-rotary "princess phone." Seems like a VERY long time ago. Joey
I will be ^0 this year... but I quit getting older at 40..I don't feel and am told I don't look my age...you see Farmgirl-the condition of the heart keeps us young!
I don't know if I already put my day in here or not, but I'm a September 2, 1954 Farmgirl. As a child it was always about the last weekend of the summer spending it at the lake or at the State Fair which if you've ever been to the Minnesota State Fair it is HUGE!
BUT ----- As a Mother it means spending it with my daughter who was born on my Birthday! So far it's 27 years and counting and we haven't missed one together yet! The older she gets the more fun it is for both of us!And my DH loves it as he only has to remember one day a year, lol.
