I put my tomato seedlings outside this morning to acclimate them, but I forgot to give them a drink first. I came home this afternoon to the most pathetic, droopy, shriveled tomato plants I've ever seen. So I gave them a good long drink and about fifteen minutes later they were much happier. I still take them in at night. Tomorrow I'm not going to put them in direct sun. I hope they'll be happy. Cindy

It is best to introduce them slowly to direct sun and wind. Gradually increasing their time outside. They do dry out fast outside. good luck with them.

I agree with Michele, easy does it. I would put a oscillating fan on my tomatoes and other plants that I grew seed for about a month before moving them outside.
Good luck on doing what's best for yours! Dawn in IL |
