What do they include with the space as far as advertising, etc.? Does the store get a lot of traffic and/or is it in a visible location? Another question you may want to ask is whether or not they want a specific time commitment or if you can just go month to month. I wish you the best of luck whatever you decide-I'm sure your space will look great!!!! |

That is about what it was here, but the consignment shop they had here closed just before Christmas because the one that was running it had cancer and just passed away last month. Hope you do it and make alot of money. Usually they work out okay because alot of the ones that rent spots also buy others things. Let us know if you decide to do it.

Do both! Just wait till college is in to so the store booth. By then the tourist season will have passed & less people will be taking casual drives through the country so you front porch sells will probably slow down then. See if you can maybe book the first month in advance so you don't miss a slot. $35 isn't all that much for taking a risk, but yeah, if you have to pay for a whole year un advance that could mess you up.
I was looking into a flea market booth that runs $20 a weekend & I thought that was a good deal. :D

Glad you can sell out of your home. We cannot sell any food items without a food license, and also need a sales tax license and zoning to sell out of house. Hope it works out well for you.

Selling out of your home sounds perfect. I would try that first for sure.

Good luck to you Kristina. I have often thought of doing something similar as I live on a busy county road. Would have to look in to it more- as far as selling the eggs I am quite sure that is no problem. Probably wouldnt do any other food items, but perhaps something else nifty...HMMMMM- my wheels continue to spin! LOL

Kristina, It sounds like you are getting this going at the right time of year. I sure wish you the best. I am so proud of you for taking the plunge. It can be scary, but you won't know unless you give it a whirl.

I have my items in a shop named "Craftiques". I rent a 6x5 space for $45. Some months I barely cover the cost of the space and I think if it were not for the "junk" I include, I would not make anything.

A rind is a terrible thing to waste. Compost.
When they had all had enough to eat, he said to his disciples, “Gather the pieces that are left over. Let nothing be wasted.” -Jesus in John 6:12 NIV Bible |
