we have been having wild fires and some accidentally started ; one fire sorta close to us has already burned 600 or more acres the wind has been awful here too to make matters worse. I saw a smokey haze this morning on our farm; but no fires; the wind was blowing some; it seems to have died down a bit. hope they don't come near us. hugs sheila

Sheila, Praying that the fires do not come closer to you and that they can get them extinguished! We just had some very bad wildfires here on Long Island, which burned over 1100 acres. Luckily, they were able to put them out before they reached too many homes. Very scary stuff! Keep safe! Hugs,

thanks for the prayers girls ; it has burned 1700 or more now. it was more than I had thought . they said it could be weeks before some were put out. thanks goodness it isn't to close to us ; but near. it is in the forties and really windy at times. that is hard on the fire fighters and others who are working . hugs sheila

Saying a prayer for everyone. Hope you stay safe. The smell and smoke can nearly choke you, if it gets close enough. Please keep us all posted. Has anyone lost their life? Marianne
