The librarians aren't too gossipy with my recent ordering of baby name books. They know we had a pregnant goat, so they think we are looking up names for her.

I was hoping for some library drama - ha ha ha ha!

I always over do it (checking out books), but it sure helps the library stay open.

When I was a kid the library assistants used to call me their job security because I was always requesting and checking out so many books!

On a similar note, when I was in middle or high school I started checking out baby name books for creative writing purposes - I wanted some ideas for character names. I was always really worried that they would think I was a pregnant teen.

Unfortunately, I think they might name a wing after me at our library-too many fines over the years! :(

I just want to say, I have serious library envy right now. The nearest branch of the local library is closed for renovations, and I can't find their temporary site! I AM a librarian, for crying out loud! This is not right!

A hook, a book, and a good cup of coffee....

I remember as a kid I was at the library so much they started putting me to work alphabetizing books! But like you SpyChicken I tend to rack up the fines now!

Actually I currently don't have a library card because I have yet to get my drivers license down here.I need that to get a library card. Maybe I should do that tomorrow.

Ha ha!

I'm finishing my masters in library science right now . . . and though we may have thoughts about what you check out - it's actually one of our profession's ethics to NOT judge what you're reading or why, or to discuss it with other staff members . . . ;)

So whatever you read is always safe with us. We only keep track enough to know the types or books you like and to recommend more! :D

I'm just a 20-something girl making a home for me (and my dog) and waiting for the family to fill it!
