These were real popular at one one time. Such pretty little boxes. I have four of them all different. I guess new ones must still be out there on the market someplace but I don't see them to often. My Dad had one on his dresser in the 1950's, I wish I had that one, don't know where it ended up. Anyway, great little boxes and they smell good too!!

I remember that Josten's used to give them as a gift when you ordered your high school class ring. I didn't order a ring so I never got one, but my husband gave me a hope chest when we were engaged that he and his grandfather had lined with cedar...one of my treasured keepsakes! |

My grandmother had one. She kept little keepsakes in it, her small Bible, letters from loved ones who had passed. Wonder whatever happened to it. Probably got thrown away when she died. I've seen lots of them for sale in the South, where cedar is still harvested and people use it for craft items.

I have one my grandfather bought for me 53 years ago. We were on a trip across country and he saw it in a little shop and bought it for me, so many good memories wrapped up in that box. Kathy |

I have one, I keep buttons in it. Marly

I've got one that I bought used somewhere years ago. It's about 8 inches long, so I was thinking it might have been intended for ladies' gloves? I use it to store the few old homemade doll clothes that weren't destroyed in my childhood. Some of them were made by my grandmother for my mother's barbies and passed down to us. |
