Hey girls~

I am searching for some heirloom seed. Preferably anything that I can grow in pots. Especially a small tomato that needn't be staked much. A bushier variety maybe?

I have no "green" area in which to plant, so am contemplating a potted garden this year. I do have SOME seed in which to trade. Please message me for details.

Thank you all!

Dawn

Have you checked with Baker Creek Seed? They may have a good variety of tomatoes for your pots. We've had great luck with tomatoes in pots using tomato cages. Also, because your plants will be in containers, they will need extra nutrition throughout the summer. Start by transplanting a tomato with a tablespoon of epsom salts in the bottom of the hole, then top dress frequently with compost throughout the growing season. Be sure to keep them adequately watered, too.

I've never heard of planting tomatoes with Epsom salts before, that is something new to me after planting tomatoes for years! The past 3 years I've had problems with my tomatoes... What do the epsom salts do for the tomatoes? I'd love to know! :)
