Hello girls,

I am very new to sewing but recently found an antique White Rotary Treadle Sewing Machine for free. The cabinet needs ALOT of work but the machine seems great (and oh so pretty too!)

The most recent patent date on the machine is June 1919. Does anyone know of a source for an instruction manual? I guess I probably need the serial number too. Thanks in advance!

It sounds like you scored a real treasure. Good luck with it. I am sorry to say I can't really help you with any of your questions.

I have an old White treadle machine. I was never able to get it working...something about not being able to locate the right bobbin (sorry, this was about 10 years ago). But I found a lot of good information online from a society for antique sewing machine collectors. Check out www.ismacs.net.

Thank you girls!

Thanks for the site Amie, the machine actually came with the metal case filled with 'feet', bobbins and some needles.

I found a picture of it (in better condition!) on this website:

If you scroll down all the way, it is second to last :)
