Wow, I can't believe my reign(lol) will be coming to an end in a day! It was an honor to be named "farmgirl for December". I will always treasure this title. On January 2nd I will announce who the January 2013 Farmgirl will be. Thank you again.

Good morning farmgirls! Well it's my time to announce our next farmgirl of the month. This was a difficult decision because to me everyone on these forums deserves this title. The farmgirl I have chosen hasn't been a part of my socializing on any of the forums, but I feel she truely needs some uplifting and happiness in her life and town at this moment. When I heard about the shooting at Sandy Hook on my news I just feel apart in tears. I couldn't imagine anyone going thru this for their loved ones. That whole community is shattered with sadness and disbelief. When I realized one of our own farmgirl lived in that community I was heartbroken. The good news was she and her family were safe even though her childs school was in lock down. But I needed to do something for her to bring a moment of happiness in their lives.
So I decided to pass this title on to our own Nicole (Texdane!)

Oh my goodness! I am so very honored and so touched...thank you!!! Joan, I am humbled that you picked me to be January's Farmgirl. I love my farmgirl sisters so much. I have cried a lot of tears the past few weeks...I had tears in my eyes today, too, but they are joyful ones for the blessings of friendship and true sisterhood I have found here.

Home sweet home after a long day at work and what did I find ? A box of goodies from Joan (Simple Living, December Farmgirl of the month). What a wonderful and sweet person you are. I just put away Christmas decorations from the entry way so that's where my grubby candle will go. I LOVE Victorian so the adorable picture frame will have my grandson's school picture on my dresser to enjoy every day. It's like you read my mind, been thinking of having a good old fashioned tea party, so the tea and cookies couldn't have been more perfect (I adore ginger cookies). The journal will come in very handy as I work toward some merit badges and the card was so cute! I'm very blessed in so many ways. Thanks from the bottom of my heart, you made my day! .jpg)

I got the sweetest note in the mail with some beautiful notecards and journal from dear, sweet CJ. I also got to speak with her on the phone the other evening. CJ is such a dear, wonderful lady!

Oh my goodness! Girls, Joan is just the sweetest!! Look what was in my mailbox today, all wrapped up in pretty red and pink-and-white-polka-dot paper. I love cherries, and Joan was so thoughtful. She even put a little present in the box for Audrey...who can't wait to make a kitty from the cute craft book. Joan, I emailed you directly, but thank you ever so much for your sweet box. BIG HUGS!!!
