All these well wishes have definitely been a bright spot for me over the weekend, especially since DH is going through kidney stones. This nomination has really helped me get through a rough weekend and made me smile when things weren't going so great. THANKS EVERYONE!

Marilyn I don't know what to say other than thank you from the bottom of my heart. I just received the lovely gifts you sent and I love each and every one. My daughter stopped by for coffee and sat with me in awe as I unwrapped each one. It was like Christmas! It has been an exceptionally difficult week as there was a death in the family. Your sweet homemade gifts lifted me up and made me so happy. I've never experienced anything like this my whole life and I want to thank each and every sister for all the great advice, support, laughs, friendship and inspiration. Thank you Mary Jane for creating such a wonderful chat forum, so proud to be a part of it. Have a wonderful weekend to all my sisters. Warm hugs and kisses to you my sister Marilyn!

Welcome December! Hope it finds everyone merry and well. Sorry for the delay, my schedule and to-do list were completely wrecked lately but I finally got a minute to post the Farmgirl of the Month for December. So many sisters are more than worthy but something stood out for me with Joan Nordquist (Simple Living). Recently Hurricane Sandy ravaged Staten Island where she lives and my heart went out to all those in it's destructive path. She's a new grandma recently and I know full well the joys that come with that. I'm sure she's been on a virtual roller coaster of emotions the last few months and I send her my heartfelt hugs. Her username says it all "Simple Living". She loves old things, primitives, handmade and homemade things and family values which are dear to me as well. I feel a kindred sisterhood spirit with her even though we've never met. Staten Island holds a special place in my heart as it is where my ancestors immigrated to. I hope Joan has a wonderful December and that the new year is bright with new beginnings.

I am so honored to be picked as "farmgirl of the month of December"...Anita thank you from the bottom of my heart for chosing me. There are so many other wonderful farmgirls here that could have been chosen too - I am so touched by this (you really have no idea). I will do my best to earn this precious title. Thank all for good wishes also. Love you all!
