Congratulations my friend! Oh my what a good choice. You have really shown us what it is to have the farm girl spirit in the years you have been here at the forum. I for one am thrilled you have received this honor. You are there whenever someone is in need to lend a hand, or a prayer. You are always willing to meet a need and those things are what farm girls are all about.

Well, farmgirl sistes, it's time to pass the honor of Farmgirl of the Month on to another deserving farmgirl. I have truly been honored to have been Farmgirl of the Month for December 2013. Honoring, humbling and encouraging.
I've celebrated my 65th birthday, 45th wedding anniversary and a whole lot of other blessings this month and I THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR PART IN IT.
The farmgirl I'm passing the honor on to is very, very much deserving. She is not present here on the Connection forum a lot because she is extremely busy as an exceptional 2nd grade teacher in a charter school in Phoenix, Arizona. She is the wife to a hardworking, loving husband and mom to two adult step-children.
She also has the heritage of growing up on the family farm and learning to care for animals, do farm work and gardening. She has earned several merit badges as she is able to and has taught many of the "farmgirl-ish" practices in her classroom, such as recycling, repurposing, as well as teaching about plants, gardening, weather, animals and allowing her students to pursue creative projects both in art, crafts and performances.
She is a member of the Farmgirls Southwest Henhouse which is basically a "virtual" Henhouse but with some Farmgirl "Chick" members in the Phoenix area and has been instrumental in organizing regular get-togethers for this Arizona "contingency" of the FGSW Henhouse. She participates in swaps as she is able, but those are limited because of her teaching workload.
She is very experienced as a glamper and has made more than one road trip with "Farmgirls on the Loose/Glampers on the Loose" and is actively engaged in co-hosting Glamper-ific Gatherings.
Those are just a few farmgirl attributes for this farmgirl and I hope you'll help me in honoring . . .

Oh hooray for Robin!!!
Av excellent pick CJ! I have personally had the pleasure of Glamping with Robin, both at her wonderful backyard get together last March, at her lovely home. Let me tell you, she is the hostess with the mostess and made me feel instantly comfortable for the moment she and CJ scooped me up from the airport in Phoenix,
Then I met up with Robin and CJ in June in beautiful Idaho!
Robin definitely has farmgirl spirit, and is a shining example of all that a farmgirl sister should be. And as CJ said, although her time here on the forum is limited, she truly "lives" the farmgirl lifestyle, and gives of herself freely to others.
A well deserved honor for sure.
Enjoy this great kickoff to 2014 Robin my friend!
