I like listening to the classical station, some public radio station that plays eclectic music, some talk radio, an americana station, sometimes rock, and faithfully every Saturday at 5 a.m. driving to work, I listen to Coast to Coast. He talks about all kinds of freaky things like aliens, conspiracy theories, ghosts, etc. It gives me a good giggle.

We have a local college VOLUNTEER radio station I LOVE!! Each DJ plays a 2 hour slot of whatever they want and the line up changes 3 times a year (both semisters and summer). Some shows are long timers, always getting renewed, others come and go with the college kids. Everything from blues, rock, techno, punk, country, west African, spanish... the list goes on. You can stream it online KDUR.org my favorite is tuesday mornings (9:30-11:30) West African. It's done by a friend of mine who travels there and brings back amazing music!

Good Vibes!!

I love my Pandora station since I put the music that I like on it. But for regular radio I listen to "The Q 105.3" it plays classic rock and no repeats from 6AM -Midnight. I listen to that in the lab at work since I can't access Pandora (plus some of the parents might not like their kids listening to some of my picks, lol).

I'm usually a public radio station kindof girl. We have an awesome "alternative" music station here, in Northern Kentucky called WNKU that's affiliated with the university. On any given day you can hear anything from Aretha Franklin, Wilco, Billy Bragg, Richard Thompson and really old blues. They are also a HUGE proponent of the local music scene which my husband has long been a part of. It's awesome to drive down the road after hearing a well known band and then hear a song you know quite well, but can't really place it and realize, "wait! This is my husband!"

He's pretty wonderful, Joan--in fact, that's how we met--he was performing and I thought: "this guy is amazing, and he's cute too!"

I mainly listen to WITR, the Rochester Institute of Technology college radio station.
http://witr.rit.edu/

It is student-run during the week with community specialty shows on the weekend. A couple of those shows, Normal Happiness and Jeff of the Future, sometimes play songs by the Rustbelt Hot Rods (the band my husband and I are both in). It truly is an odd feeling to hear yourself on the radio.

National Public Radio! I search for their local station(s) when I travel, and am never disappointed by the variety of interesting topics they cover. And the weekend shows like Car Talk and Wait Wait Don't Tell Me are great fun.

It depends on what mood I'm in if I want to listen to rock, usually then 105.9 Shine FM (our local Christian Station); for Country CSIN 103.9 and I listen to CBC radio quite often.

I listen to: our "local" conservative talk radio mostly in the mornings, christain station, country, and a few stations that play 80's music. (secretly...I miss 80's hair bands).
