Here's a heads up! ~~I have no idea what to expect, but apparently ABC is airing a new movie version tonight of Laura Ingalls Wilder's book. I might check it out!

Did you watch it? My favorite book is her biography.

Hi Kim ~I watched only about an half hour or so. It seemed pretty good. I'm used to the old faces though, so that was an adjustment!

I tried to watch the ABC miniseries but couldn't get through it. "Little House on the Prairie" is my favorite show from my childhood (besides "The Wonder Years") and I just could NOT get through a show without the faces I'm familiar with. Melissa Gilbert will ALWAYS be my Laura. And I told my mom a few years ago that I wanted to marry a man exactly like Almanzo (played by Dean Butler). The man I AM marrying is NOTHING like Almanzo, but I like to believe he has Almanzo's spirit! I know the miniseries is way more true to the book, but I have an allegiance to Michael Landon and crew.

I kinda feel that way too...
And Wonder years was also one of my favorites..I was bummed when it ended. I don't get attached to tv shows very often..but that was a good one.

I'm with you RachelLeigh, It is hard to improve on the original. It is amazing how I still cry,as many times as I have seen them. Julia
