Would truly love to trade places with u!!! Have ordered Baker Creek seeds for several yrs but toooo far for a look see! Had great success with anything planted & our growing zone is 3a. Their seed book is OUTSTANDING to look thru. The sour lemon cucs are good oh, the OLD varieties of sweet peas smelling beautiful. SORRY could go on & on Great products & friendly phone people. LOVE LOVE Gardening!!! That's one great thing about the farm I can just keep planting. There's a write up about Baker's Creek in "Country Woman" mag (jan/feb)

It was a great visit!! I loved the different chickens and turkeys, I am going to order some Asian Silkie hens later this year. I bought some gourd seeds, green zinnias, peppers, beets and spinach. Swiss chard and a new basil. A wonderful time was had by all!!!

oooooh!!! LUCKY YOU!!! I think if I ever have the opportunity to go there, someone would have to drag me out with a huge rope tied to a hitch!!! Sounds like you had a great time - and a successful one, too! YAY!!! - Nini

I'm having a lot of success with their seeds this year. Pretty much 100% germination. I'm really happy with the lettuce and some is French and not normally supposed to grow here. So glad you got to visit them.

If you see the picture of the store in the catalog, it looks exactly like that. The girls scurry about the store filling ordes. Very nice, and we had lunch across the way. You paid for lunch by donation, and it was very good.
I have also been to Seed Saver in Dacora Iowa, so much fun

Yes Carol we are practically neighbors. Linda, the festival is the Spring Planting Festival, May 6 & 7, 2012. I got the flyer with my seed order. I definitely want to visit the Laura Ingalls Wilder home.
