All I really understand is that the starts and colors have to do with the number of posts that you have....I saw mine change when I went over 1000...and I know that the name above the stars change too...I'm sure there is someone else out there can can tell you more about it than I can

Some of the names have to do with earning badges. I don't have a clue about the color your name is written in ... Marianne |

I, too, have always understood it to be related to the number of posts you have on the forum. More posts = more stars. They change color at certain "milestones", as does your farmgirl description. (i.e.- "Farmgirl in Training", "True Blue Farmgirl", etc.)
