I was in a soap swap this summer -- my first one. It was so much fun. There were 15 gals and we each had to do 15 of the same thing worth at least $5 retail. You could do soap, lotion, whatever. It had to have a summer theme. I mailed the 15 items to the swap mom along with $8.10 for return priority postage. I got back the most wonderful things. It was like Christmas in July.
I was wondering if any of you would like to do a swap? It doesn't necessarily have to be soap -- anything handmade worth around $5 with a Fall theme. I would be happy to be the swap mom. That way we get to see the lovely talents of our Farmgirls in person!
I'd like to keep it to 10 or 15 people at the most. It would have an October 15th deadline -- you need to have your items to me by then along with $8.10 for return postage. Once I have everyone's items I will mail out the boxes.

| I would love to be in this swap but I don't make or have anything the exact same. Is there any way I could send 10 different things valued at $5 and they could just be put in each box...everyone will get something different from me but it will still be worth $5 (or more!). This is going to be fun! I've already decided what I'm going to do but I'm not telling. That's the most fun. Keeping a secret what you're going to swap. That way when people get their boxes they get surprised!

The swap will be for the whole group of 10. You will make 10 of the same item which must have a Fall theme and a retail value of $5. It doesn't have to cost you $5 to make it -- just if you were going to sell it would you put a retail price of at $5 on it. That way we can be sure that everyone gets equally nice things in the swap.
You will send all 10 items to me along with $8.10 for return flat rate priority shipping. When I have received the items from all 10 members then I will make up the boxes and ship out to each person. You will receive back a box with 10 Fall themed items.
What you make is up to you. It can be soap, bath products, candles, home decor, kitchen, etc. I was in a soap swap this past summer and it was so much fun. When I got my box it was like Christmas morning! I thought that by doing this it would give us a way to get some things that we can keep or give for gifts. The best part is keeping a secret of what you are doing for the swap. That way everyone is surprised when they get their boxes.

Kate -- you're not too late. And you make number 10 - YEAH!!! So that makes the swap officially closed because we wanted to limit it to 10 gals.
