Cornish X, Freedom Rangers?
Words of wisdom appreciated.
Know anything about regular Cornish and raising meat birds from eggs?

i raise approx. 75 to 100 fryers a year. we grow from chick age. warm, dry, no drafts, good food, warm water. dip each beak as you put it in the hut. watch for pastey butts i have tried the heritage breeds before. my customers like the plain flavor of cornish cross. we allow ours to run around and have a life before we butcher. they truly are not smart. we let ours out to run when they are feathered out. hope it goes good for you. i know some of the girls like the freedom rangers and other meat birds. happy days sherrye

I raise jumbo cornish X's in lots of 50, and I do 3 lots a year. I butcher at 6 - 10 weeks, depending on individual birds.I feed turkey start to begin with for first 2 weeks, then turkey grow till butchering, (this is non-medicated feed that I use). They are great as fryers and roasters...
