I planned to take classes last year, but could not. The woman offered a kit for $10.00 to start learning. Her class itself was free. I hope they hold it again this year.

Please define rug hooking. I make rag rugs, but I'm not sure if it's the same thing you're interested in.

I cannot master those things that I have not tried.

what my friend has shown me is that you use monks cloth and take thin strips of wool and hook them into the cloth- it is a very primative looking craft.

I'm with you Lori, I want to learn to do this craft but I've got so many other I just haven't found the time for it. I believe the type you are refering to is just called rug hooking as opposed to latch hooking which uses precut pieces of yarn. If I'm not mistaken I believe Aunt Jenny from this forum does this type of craft(rug hooking). If you do take it up, post pictures please.

Good boy Hobbs! I love and miss you.
