Jayne, I think a lot of people embroider on flour sack towels that you can buy already hemmed in fabric or craft stores. I like to work on Osnaberg, as it is heavier. I suppose muslin would be fine also. I have also done Huck (Swedish Weaving) which can be done on Huck fabric, which is a little hard to find or Aida cloth.
Thanks Jana - Osnaberg was what I was thinking of too. I use that for redwork all the time. This sounds like fun - I was also wondering about Sunshine's question - is there to be a theme? Best wishes, Jayne
I was just wondering how big is this swap getting. I guess it doesn't really matter if we are trading 1 to 1 and not every to everytone. I think I counted 13 so far. Still wondering if there is a theme or not.

To summarize: Sign up by mid-September; partners assigned Oct 1; mail your towel to your partner by Nov 15 -- Embroider on feedsack or osnaberg ..... no theme (could be floral / kitchen theme / veggies / fall motif / kitsch). Elizabeth -- candismom -- will assign partners. Am I right?
