I began a Valentine mail box last night and just finished it! Yay!
It is for all the mail I am receiving in the Homemade Valentine Swap here at MJF. I am finding it very fun. So far I have received 8 cards, which I am not opening (trying really really hard!), until I get all the cards, or Valentines Day.

I used a box that my Xyron refill came in and some papers I had for a while. I had everything else left over from other projects too, so I was thrilled to get to use them. I topped it off with a vintage glass door nob!

Hugs,
Terri

That is wonderful! Job well done! I remember in grade school we would always decorate a shoe box for a mailbox, I just remember it holding treasure way past Valentines day! Yours is so beautiful!!

That is darling! How did you attach the paper to the outside of the box? I was thinking about lining some boxes with decorative paper, and didn't know if spray adhesive was the way to go, or if there was some other good method.

Thank you Marcelina and Paula!
Paula, I used a roller dot system to apply the adhesive all around the edges of the box. It is called the Xyron Mega Runner. But I don't love it. It is kind of hit or miss with the application. I don't know if it was the shiny box paper or the Runner. I thought of just using glue, but was concerned about the paper warping.

Hello Beverley, Thanks so much for your enthusiasm over the mailbox! I am a little girl when it comes to Valentine's day! I did have fun creating the mailbox. I am sure if you made one it would be amazing! I would love to see it and I will send you a Valentine to put in it!
I grew up in Michigan, but I have never heard of Atlanta Mi! Where in the state are you located?

Thank you so much Michelle! I am glad you enjoyed the video, I think I posted it in Make it Easy/Simple or a topic name like that.
If you make a mailbox, please post it so I can see it too : )
