Sending prayers your way. Hope the surgery goes nice and quick so you don't have to wait too long to hold him again.

Gus, I will be thinking of you today, sending prayers and lots of hugs.
Keep us posted Kristina, our animals are our family and it is so hard when they have to go through something like this. Hang in there he will be fine.

Will be praying and thinking of Gus today. One of ours just had a lump removed from his neck so I know how stressful this is on everyone. Give him a hug from me and my boys.

I'm sending prayers and good thoughts for Gus and his family today--I know what it's like to love a dog, for sure and your world is totally changed without them. He's one handsome fella, for sure!

Thanks. My son will be able to go pick him up a little less than 3 hours from now. Last night, I felt horrible for him. He didn't know why the other dogs were fed and not him. Today, after my son left to take Gus, our other dogs sat looking out the door wondering where Gus was. I can't wait to get him back home today. He'll get some all night pampering.

Ds has just left to go pick up Gus. It's about a half hour drive, so I may not have an update too soon. The roads are a bit snow covered too. I sure pray that it went well, and they got all of the concerned area removed.

He's home now. The vet told my son that the lump root was deep, black and nasty. They are testing it in the lab. Gus is home and happy, and has clean teeth now too. I'm glad my son found it and took him in. Total cost was $270.00. DS paid for it - yay for him for being so responsible.

Kristina,
Just saw your posts about Gus. Praying that it was just a growth and nothing more. Kudos to your DS for paying for his dogs surgerw with his own money. That is a very responsible young man you have there!
Hope gud is enjoying being spoiled tonight!
Hugs,
