My Mom surprised me with a visit yesterday, and gifted me some organic, shade grown coffee beans from Costa Rica! Mmmmmm! I haven't been able to afford organic coffee, so this was a special treat (among getting wooden earrings and some special candies for the family to share.
What a nice Mother. I drink dark roast coffee. Is this dark roast? I have never tried organic coffee. I think I will. Enjoy your coffee. Marly

I've had Costa Rican, too. It is the smoothest coffee I've ever tasted. I also like Peruvian, Guatemalan, Rwandan and Ugandan. The two from Africa definitely have more caffeine in them, but all of these are soooooo smooth. No bitter acidic after taste like Colombian. A friend of mine pointed out that the coffee beans would be like wine grapes, picking up different qualities from the soil they are grown in.
I also like to add cinnamon to the grounds in the coffee maker - makes for a nice blend.
